Love and a new job for Menzi in 2015?

It's no doubt been one tough year for actor Menzi Ngubane.

Menzi has had to face all sorts of challenges this year, but through it all has managed to keep his head up high.

The actor was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease in 2012 and had been on the waiting list for a transplant since then. In September this year, Menzi found himself among the 16 principal cast members of Generations, who were fired.

Menzi struggled to hold back emotions as he told journalists at a press conference how he had to undergo dialysis twice a day and had to be admitted to a government facility because he didn't have medical aid. Menzi broke down as he explained how after two days of being discharged from hospital, he had to report to work. However, after all of that found himself without a job.

The dust from the Generations debacle hadn't even struggled when news that Menzi was going through a divorce from his wife, Lerato rocked fans. Menzi's wife went public with the divorce by telling a popular magazine that the actor had erectile dysfunction. She also revealed that Menzi lied to her about being a sangoma and was actually practicing.

There was a ray of hope for Menzi in October when reports emerged that he had found a kidney donor and underwent a kidney transplant.

The actor didn't officially comment on the reports and is yet to land a new acting gig.

Hopefully 2015 will be a better year for him!
