Loyiso Gola responds to Wits Twitter hate

Johannesburg - Comedian Loyiso Gola has hit back at the Twitter hate for comments made over the ongoing Wits protests in Johannesburg.

Not for the first time this month, the comedian found himself on the end of a Twitter roasting. This time he was raked over the coals by 'Black Twitter' after he called out a Wits university protester for wearing expensive shoes (read more about that here).

His tweet caused a massive debate online, with many choosing to lambaste the comedian.

Loyiso has responded to the hate by calling black Twitter "a false sense of power" and saying it does not exist.

Talking to CliffCentral, Loyiso said: "Twitter does not affect my life. The notion that there is this black Twitter that can crucify you is false. No they can't."

A few hours later, he was playing football with friends when Lunga Shabalala asked him about the hate. His reply? "F**k 'em all".

So, we guessing Loyiso is no longer a part of the honorary black twitter appreciation club?

Black Twitter will come and collect your membership card in a second, Loyiso.
