Lulu Dikana was on her way to the top!

Lulu Dikana's budding career was cut tragically short last night after suffering from a short illness in hospital.

The songbird will be remembered for her soulful Jazz and RnB hits. Last year alone Lulu was nominated for two SAMA Awards in the Best Rnb/Soul and Reggae Album category and Best Female Artist.

More recently Lulu made headlines when she opened for international RnB hit maker, John Legend. Lulu, who is Zonke Dikana's older sister, performed with the likes of international artists such as  Tania Maraia, Nany Vieira and Issabella Novella at the 2014 Johannesburg Arts Alive International Festival held in Johannesburg.

The songbird was set to perform at the Virgin Mobile Skyroom Live Urban Session on the 5 December, but sadly could not make the performance due to being admitted to hospital.
