Mafikizolo's Nhlanhla opens up about dark times

Mfikizolo are the talk of the town right now. The group cleaned up at all major  South African music awards shows and has been nominated for a BET award.  Although they are on top of their game right now, things haven't always been this good.

In 2009 Nhlanhla lost her daughter Zinathi in a car accident and this week she opened up to Drum about that dark time. "It was a very dark and painful time in my life. I lost myself and it took me many years to get over the pain," she said, adding that it's better but the pain never goes away.

She also revealed that she celebrates her daughter's memory every day as well as all the joys in her life.

One of those joys is living her dream with Theo. "We were two friends with a dream. That dream has opened up the world for us," she told Drum.
