Masechaba: "I wish I could write a book about..."

You might not know this but Masechaba Lekalake is also a writer!

The Power FM and I Love South Africa presenter published a children's book of short stories when she was seven years old.

But if she could write a book today what would she write about?

"I've aways been passionate about story telling in different forms," she tells us on the set of I Love South Africa. "If I wrote a book today it would be about the freedom stalwarts".

"Those are the people who inspire me. Not the ones who have been written about but the unsung heroes- some of their names we'll never know," she adds.

She says her travels have given her an added perspective of the world and an appreciation for South Africa, its history and its culture.

"I've seen South Africa from a distance. I've seen the way people live around the world and I've come to appreciate how we live and how disciplined and diverse we are. Our friendliness. Our climate. Our culture," she says.
