Menzi in good spirits after transplant

It was only a couple of weeks ago that we heard about Menzi Ngubane FINALLY getting that kidney transplant he urgently needed. Now the actor reveals more about the transplant and how he's coping .

Menzi underwent the transplant at the Charlotte Maxeke hospital in Johannesburg late last year and says that he is grateful to the man who saved his life, along with seven other people.

"Even though I couldn't meet the person who saved my life, I'll use his kidney wisely," he told the Sunday Sun.

Menzi says the transplant has given him a new lease on life and, even though he's been housebound for the last four months on intense treatment, he intends to pick up a few new resolutions.

"From what I've been told he was an active guy who lived a healthy life. I want to do the same when I'm back on my feet,"Menzi told the paper.
