Johannesburg - Despite the fact that Mfundi Vundla seems calm and reserved over yo-yo viewership numbers, and cast members leaving Generations: The Legacy, there is no doubt lots of pressure on him.
Now, perhaps for the first time, Mfundi has admitted that the show is in what he has describes as a 'life and death struggle with competitors.'
Speaking to TimesLives, Mfundi admitted that he is mixing things up, and bringing back popular old characters to try and gain momentum (Read about Vusi Kunene's return here)
"We just got ourselves a big striker. That mean we'll score more goals," said Mfundo on Vusi's return.
But with e.t'vs Gold Diggers and Mzansi Magic's The Road about to start, Mfundi is fully aware that the stronghold Generations has had for years, may just be coming to an end. He's still optimistic, though. "There's nothing to panic about. We still have good numbers. Generations makes nice money for the SABC. It dominates 8pm."
