Mfundi Vundla on e.tv's telenova: "Competition is good"

Last week saw the launch of etv's highly-anticipated telenova Ashes to Ashes.

The stellar cast includes former Generations actors Nambitha Mpulwana, Zenande Mfenyana, Maggie Benedict and Patrick Shai.

The telenova will be broadcast at 8pm and is expected to go head-to-head with SABC1's Generations.

Well, creator of Generations: The Leagacy Mfundi Vundla isn't phased by the new telenova.

In fact he welcomes competition. "It won't be the first time someone has tried to take us on," he told Drum magazine.

Mfundi added that competition was good for the industry because it mean there was more work for artists. "Remember when they launched Scandal! it was initially meant for the 8pm slot . But I'm ready. Competition is good. It grows the industry. There's more work for people," he explained.

Talk about being confident!
