We were so excited when we heard, earlier this year, that our bestest TV show, Homeland was going to be filming right here in South Africa. Then there were rumours that filming was delayed because of new visa laws by our department of Home Affairs, only for Claire Danes to be spotted days later in Cape Town.
The Juice has learnt that filming of the season started late last week with scenes being shot at a Cape Town railway station this past weekend.
One local extra, involved with the shooting, tweeted "On set for homeland in cape town.. #allin#CapeTown#taliban#salaahtop#fez".
The fourth season of the popular series sees Claire play special agent Carrie in Turkey and Pakistan, with Cape Town serving as the location for filming.
Claire and her hubby, Hugh Dancey, were spotted over the weekend in a Cape Town restaurant grabbing a spot to eat but it seems they won't be eating alone for much longer. It was recently revealed that Claire will be joined in South Africa by new cast members Raza Jaffrey from Smash and Michael O’Keefe from King & Maxwell, with Raza in a heavily recurring role as Aasar Khan, a decorated lieutenant-colonel in the Pakistan intelligence service.
We can't wait!
