Movies: City of Violence

Overview: Two officers are looking for the killer of a teenage girl.

What's it about? The movie is set in South Africa's apartheid era and the two cops try very hard to find the killer.While the investigation takes them from from Cape Town's breath-taking places to the townships, their lives are transformed in a huge way. They are forced to confront their inner demons in the process.

Our fave bits: Although we've seen tons of apartheid movies, we were very impressed by this film. There were lots of intense moments and powerful performances from both Orlando Blooom and Forest Whitaker.
