Music: Beyonce - Partition

In a nutshell:  Bey is still weaving her magic in our ears three months after she surprised us all with the drop of her self-titled fifth album. All of the singles off the album have been massive hits so far but is there still enough in the tanks with her new single, Partition?

What’s it like:  The heart stopping production of the album is felt all over the track. The bass is loud, the lyrics are short and clever, and the samples are frighteningly powerful.  It’s a hip hop bass magic show with Beyonce as its main act and she shines.

Fave Bit: The bass is the big draw card on the track and its introduction is an obvious highlight. From the outset you can hear it approaching but when it comes in all its glory, Beyonce meets it so well it’s near breathless.

Rating:  A bit of bass and soul is always appreciated and when it comes from the queen of RnB herself we can only stand back and applaud. It’s already climbing the chart and it’s gonna be hit! 5/5
