In a nutshell: Experimental electro is all the rage at the moment and one of the brightest up-and-coming talents in that genre is Drift Prism. The Cape Town outfit has just released their self-titled debut album.
What’s it like: Living in a dream. Drift Prism's sound is so captivating that you hardly notice the transition in the songs. The beats put us into a trance as the vocals carry us away into another world.
Fave Bit: The track Greet the Weather. It has a chill vibe beat that just makes us want to pass out with happiness while the vocals run over us like a wave.
Rating: Drift Prism may sound like a lot of the other experimental electro outfits breaking out at the moment, but with their self titled debut album, they prove the hype around the band is more than justified. 4/5
