Music: Fergie - L.A. LOVE (La La)

In a nutshell: She used to be the face of The Black Eyed Peas before Fergie went solo. Now she's released her first single in 6 years. Does she still have it?

What’s it like: Rapper Fergie teaching us geography. There's definitely an edge to this new Fergie that is a little more hip hop than before, but the pop underbelly is still there, along with a list of all the countries she can possibly think of. Classic pop

Fave Bit: Near the end of the song Fergie talks about "legalising it". Is it any coincidence that she then mumbles "we loving it" like she's high? Hmmm...

Rating: L.A Love may be really nothing more than a love letter to LA (and every other country or city Fergie can remember) but it's catchy and simple and because of that, it will probably do really well on the charts. It's not a classic though   3/5
