In a nutshell: Local Folk singer Jeremy Loops has finally released his long awaited debut album. With a wide range of instruments and musical tools at his disposal, and having already released many of the tracks on the album already, will there be anything new for Jeremy Loops fans?
What’s it like: A gentle breeze through a kaleidoscope of musical colour. Loops has always been a genius when it comes to layering and manipulating sound and on this album he does the same. A lot of the tracks have already been released as singles or parts of EPs but the new ones are surprisingly solid.
Fave Bit: Lonesome and Blue. Adelle Nqeto (from Flint , Meet Spark) has a voice of an angel and it sparkles on the track. The perfect companion to Loops' laid back sound.
Rating: Already, it's gone to number one on the SA iTunes store and it's not hard to see why. It's a gem of an album with re-mastered old favourites and some fresh tracks that will soon become new favourites. 4/5
