In a nutshell: Usher's 2012 release, Looking 4 myself, was a surprising blend of RnB and electro beats that received generally mixed reviews. It's two years on from that experiment and Usher is ready to release a new album he hopes will show fans he's gone back to his RnB roots. The first single from the upcoming album is the catchy Good Kisser.
What’s it like: Like Usher caught in a drum machine. Good Kisser relies a lot on the instrumental beats and so at times it feels like Usher is just trying to keep up with the beat. Still, he does a great job in creating a mood within the song and making it really catchy, all through the strength of his voice.
Fave Bit: Besides a good chorus, Good Kisser has an epic introduction that builds the suspense until it explodes with Usher's dreamy vocals. It's good enough to bring on goosebumps
Rating: Catchy, and, at first very alluring. Good Kisser is made by the suspense-filled beats of the instruments in the song. Usher's vocals match it most of the time but are probably only good enough to sustain the song long enough to make it a radio hit, and not much longer. 3/5
