Johannesburg - Veteran Musician David Masondo is recovering in hospital after suffering from fatigue and exhaustion during a live performance.
According to Drum, the 67-year-old Soul Brothers member was rushed to hospital after an energetic performance in Port Elizabeth last month.
"Age is not on his side, running around a lot during a performance is not good for him," the band's management told the mag. "After the performances he was weak and tired so we took him to hospital," they added.
Despite all the band members getting on in years, the band says they still want to release new music and have been hard at work in the studio to record a new album, even if David's hospitalisation has kind of put a spoke in the wheel.
"We've suspended the recording (of the band's 10th studio album) until he has recovered. David will not be retiring," the band's management reassured fans.
Maybe the album could be called Hospital Blues?
