It's just days before the SABC has promised that Muvhango actors will have money in their bank accounts this week.
About three weeks ago, actors from the hit soapie threatened to go on strike if they were not paid on time. It was reported that the actors had not been paid for September.
This came hot on the heels of the Generations debacle, which the SABC no doubt couldn't afford. The SABC stepped in shortly after reports emerged, promising that the actors will have cash deposited on 18 October (this Saturday).
SABC spokesman Kaizer Kganyago told Times Live that actors' payments will be made by 17 October.
"We have intervened and we will launch an investigation to find out what caused the delay. We will make a payment to the production house early next week, thereafter they will be able to pay the cast," he added.
