Mystery surrounds Tbo Touch's 'suspension'

So all we know is that popular radio DJ, Tbo Touch is no longer on our radio! And we wants answers!

Weekend reports are all trying to explain the sudden silence of the normally noisy Tbo, and many of them are pointing to Metro FM suspending the DJ.

He talks too much!

He might have one of the most popular radio shows in Mzansi, but Sunday Sun says that it's all gone to Tbo's head and he has been suspended because he was too loud, talked too much and thought he was too big for the station and its rules.

He's just like Sbu!

City Press claims that he was suspended because he promotes his product range of fragrances, mobile money services and condoms called Touch Lifestyle, on air.  The paper says Sbu complained that he was being suspended for the same thing Tbo does all the time and that if he was suspended so should Tbo.

Both papers quote Metro FM's marketing and PR manager, Happy Ngidi as saying he has not been scheduled but will return soon.

He was on a course... or chasing money

It may sound like an excuse, but Tbo told Sunday Sun the reason he hasn't been on air is because he was at a workshop with the show's new producers. But he told City Press he hasn't been on air is because he is in the middle of contract negotiations.

He doesn't pay his taxes.

Meanwhile, Sunday World have chosen anther direction, saying Tbo is not only in trouble with Metro but also with the tax man. They say he is being investigated by SARS through a lifestyle audit because they believe his income does not collaborate with his spending and he may be using his company and foundations to dodge the tax man.

So what exactly has happened to Tbo? Well, keep it locked and we'll be ... in 'touch'!
