Nambitha Mpumlwana clears her name

Johannesburg - There have always been a host of swirling rumours around Ashes to Ashes actress, Nambitha Mpumlwana. From being a diva, to being in financial trouble and breaking up a relationship, the entertainment heavyweight has broken her silence on all of the allegations against her.

In an interview with Move! Nambitha sat down to address the rumours that have been hounding her for most of her career.

On being a diva, Nambitha says that that is certainly not the case, but she does admit that she's a perfectionist. "I am one of only a handful of actors in this country who are not just talented, but have taken the trouble to learn the best ways of making any role they are cast in as real as it can be for the viewers."

The magazine claims to have received an anonymous email detailing how she is battling financially and also that she and her bestie, Simphiwe Dana are feuding because she started dating Simphiwe's ex girlfriend. It's a claim that she denies, instead suggesting that she knows full well who is responsible for the claims. "This person a bitter former friend who owes me a lot of money."

On being broke, Nambitha says that South Africans are often under the impression that people in the entertainment industry are rich and live the 'high life' which as we all know, isn't true.

When The Juice met with Nambitha at e.tv's Winter launch, she openly spoke out about how so many of the reports about her were fabricated and just plain ugly.
