Johannesburg - Earlier this year Nando Mngoma told The Juice that she was working on her album and that she was expecting it to be released this year.
However, there might be a delay has it has now been revealed that Nandi has parted ways with her record label, Universal Music.
Sowetan is reporting that the decision came after claims that Universal not only failed to pay for her album, but also did not pay her for studio time.
When speaking to the paper, the muso downplayed any drama, saying that she is grateful to Universal and that she is now on a 'different path.'
However, the move has sparked concerns that there may be a major delay in getting new material from Nandi. And to be honest, that's really what we really care about: An album by the end of the year? We certainly hope so.
Meanwhile, Nandi is still London shooting an ad campaign with Pharrell Williams for Woolworths. (See all the deets here)
