Cape Town - 2019 was a year full of celebrity weddings we eagerly looked forward to.
From Dineo Moeketsi and Solo, Bontle and Priddy Ugly, Somizi and Mohale, to Nomsa Buthelezi and Zandile – these weddings saw some of our favourite stars come together with the love of their lives in gorgeous ceremonies that impressed their peers and fans.
Now, we look back at some of the 2019 weddings that took our breath away!
1. Dineo Moeketsi and Solo Langa
TV personality Dineo Moeketsi married her longtime rapper boyfriend Zothile “Solo” Langa, in a traditional wedding in May. They later had their white wedding in October.
Both the ceremonies were televised in a three-part documentary called Kwakuhle Kwethu on DStv’s 1Magic channel 103.
2. Bontle Modiselle and Priddy Ugly
If you follow choreographer Bontle Modiselle, you’d have expected her wedding to have an African inspired theme. She tied the knot with her longtime rapper boyfriend Priddy Ugly, real name Ricardo Moloi in October.
They celebrated their union surrounded by friends and family while wearing matching African attire.
3. Somizi and Mohale
On the same weekend Bontle and Priddy Ugly got married, #SomHale was trending on Twitter for non-other than choreographer and media personality Somizi Mhlongo and his sweetheart Mohale Motaung’s traditional wedding. The couple tied the in Kibler park, Johannesburg surrounded by family and celebrity friends such as media personality Bonang Matheba, radio personality Lerato Kganyago and rapper Cassper Nyovest.

The couple who are set to have their white wedding in January 2020 had a huge cake and several outfit changes throughout the ceremony.
4. Nomsa Buthelezi and Zandile Shezi
Lockdown actress Nomsa Buthelezi said "I Do" to her longtime girlfriend Zandile Shezi in September.
The two had an intimate traditional ceremony in Alexandra in front of their close family and celebrity friends such as Rhythm City actress Samkelo Ndlovu, fellow Lockdown actress Zola Nombona and actress and producer Salamina Mosese and husband Tshepo ‘Howza’ Mosese.
