Cape Town - They’re like two peas in a pod.

Not only are they mirror images of each other, the twins who make up Major League have lots in common too.

Bandile and Banele Mbere (28), the brains behind the amapiano hit EP Ase Trap Ke Pina Tsa Ko Kasi, tell us it’s all in the genes when we chatted to them recently. The dynamic duo dish on what they like and don’t like.

1. Your favourite artists right now?

Banele: Sjava and Nasty C are top of my list of male artists and Zonke is my favourite female artist. She’s very talented.

Bandile: Nasty C and my homey and best friend, Nadia Nakai.

2. How do you deal with groupies?

Banele: I’m used to attention because I’m a twin, but it’s become worse since I became a celebrity, so I take it easy and don’t let it get to my head.

Bandile: I don’t entertain them much. I take photos, smile and make conversation. My rule is: you can’t be in bed with your fans.

3. How do you handle criticism on social media?

Banele: I just ignore it. No one questions organisations such as banks when they change their logos for example, so why question me as a brand?

Bandile: I look at it and just block that negativity.

4. What’s the one thing you don’t mind splurging on?

Banele: Clothes.

Bandile: Definitely clothes! I can’t stop.
