Cape Town – The theme for the Cape Town Carnival is "Mother City, Mother Nature" and it will take place on 17 March 2018.
For those who have never been before the carnival is a sort-of parade, during which there are performances and a variety of floats.
There are also lots of snacks and drinks to buy on the route or to enjoy while you watch all the festivities.
If you’re thinking of going, here are 4 things you need to know from ticket prices, to the venue and artists that are going to perform.
There will be five performers. Here’s the line-up: Aphrodite Belly Dance Studio; BioRithm; LEAP Maths and Science School; Likhwezi Arts project and Phatizwelethu Arts Project.
The venue for the Cape Town Carnival 2018 is the same as it was in 2017: The Green Point Fan Walk.
General access to the carnival is free but if you’d like to be in the seats and see everything from a higher viewpoint, then tickets start at R300 and the VIP experience is R1300.
