5 local celebs who should have been a "thing"

Johannesburg – Have you ever looked at two of your favourite celebs and thought, “they should have been a thing”? No? Well, we have.

In fact, we decided to play match-maker to the stars and pair up some celeb missed connections. Who knows, maybe one or two of them will take the hint and make it a reality. We’re looking at you, Kyle and Shekhinah.

 Khanya Mkangisa and Maurice Paige

We know that relationships should be about more than just what’s on the outside. But let’s be honest, their outsides look real good. With Khanya’s banging body and Maurice’s toned physique, if these two were a thing, they would be a #InstaCouple to be reckoned with.

Janez Vermeiren and Jeannie D

Yes, we know, Janez is a happily married man. But there was a time when the entire South Africa was convinced that the former Top Billing presenter was involved with, then co-host, Jeannie D. Even after they denied it time and time again, a small part of us kind of wanted it to be true.

Minnie Dlamini and Lunga Shabalala

They say the perfect relationship should be built on a firm foundation. Well, what’s firmer than their abs? So, Minnie and Lunga on baecation on a beach somewhere? Yes please!

Shekhinah and Kyle Deutsch

When the video for their single Back to the Beach dropped last year, Kyle and Shekhinah had everybody wondering how close they really are. Fast forward a few months, and we’re still guessing. One thing’s for sure, we find it difficult to say Shekhinah’s name without Kyle’s immediately following. Come on guys, there’s still time, make it happen.

Shashi Naidoo and Ryan Botha

Yass! Plus, we’ve got a great cover story in case they want to hide their non-existent love from prying eyes – just tell people that Ryan has been signed to Shashi’s modelling agency.

Oh, those pics of Ryan shirtless on Sashi’s Instagram? They were working on a photoshoot #winkwink.
