5 local celebs who took part in #Mandeladay

Cape Town - For those who don’t know, on Nelson Mandela’s birthday each year some South Africans do at least 67 minutes of charity work to honour the former president. Participants often tag their selfless acts with the #Mandeladay or #67minutes hashtag. 

Some of the local celebrities who took part this year are AKA, Boity, Tresor, Judith Sephuma and the twins from Locnville. 

Here’s a roundup of all their pics posted on social media. 

1. AKA and his crew (including Da LES) helped to dig a Supa MEGA garden at a youth center:

2. Boity, Tresor and Locnville all took part in Gareth Cliff’s, Cliff Central 67 minutes, where the local stars and the Idols judge broadcast live from Ikwezi Primary School library in Soweto.  At this event, people donated time and effort to the learning institution.
