Johannesburg – Sjoe, how time flies! Can you believe it’s already been a year since Nasty C dropped his debut album Bad Hair

“#BadHair turns 1!!! What’s your fav joint?” the rapper asked fans on Instagram who were only too happy to reply.

In honour of the rapper's first album turning one year old, we’ve decided to take a look back at five stories from the young star that had people talking.

Ready for some flashbacks?

1. Nasty C wins big at Metros

The 16th Metro FM Music Awards proved to be a great night for Nasty C. The star bagged Best Hip-Hop Album, Best Male Album, Best New Artist, and of course the coveted Song Of The Year award for his track Hell Naw.

However, there was some controversy that stemmed from the rapper's victorious night... we'll get to that next.

2. We unpack the Nasty C and Dr Malinga beef

Who could forget the twar that ensued when Dr Malinga hinted that Nasty C had bought awards received for his music. Speaking to The Juice, Malinga's management made it clear that he had no beef with Nasty, but rather with the fact that Hell Naw took home Song Of The Year at the Metros when he believed it should have been Babes Wodumo's Wololo.

Nasty C of course retaliated with a video of his own, but the star has since removed it from his account.
