1. Mihlali Ndamase (Mihlali_N)

Mihlali is a brand strategy student, beauty content creator and co-founder of the Siyasizana Foundation. Her huge social-media following has given her an opportunity to work with famous brands, such as Bras N Things, Bata and MAC cosmetics. Mihlali has 415 000 Instagram followers and her YouTube channel Mihlali_N, has 78 000 subscribers, with 4 453 621 views. Her channel focuses on beauty, lifestyle and vlogs, and the key aspect is make-up tutorials.

2. Zinzyswa Mayekiso (Gram with Zinzy)

Gram with Zinzy is a YouTube hit reality show that follows the life of 22-year-old Instagram celebrity, radio personality and brand-influencer Zinzyswa Mayekiso as she goes through her trendy life and pregnancy with Thobani “Que” Mgobhozi – half of gqom duo Distruction Boyz. In just more than a year Zinzy, gained 8 606 subscribers and has had 382 754 views.

3. DangerFlex SA

DangerFlex is a KwaZulu-Natal professional dancer who performs bhenga. He appears at multiple gigs and gets major bookings, and his YouTube channel has 28 073 subscribers and 11 197 626 views. His Distruction Boyz – Omunye Phezu Komunye dance video received more than 1.7 million views.

4. Snikiwe Mhlongo (SNIMHLONGO)

Snikiwe Mhlongo, based in between Durban and Cape Town, is a YouTuber with a huge Instagram following of 65 000. Her YouTube channel covers hair, beauty, fashion and food, but it’s her awesome wig tutorials that have racked up 16 855 subscribers and 1 102 839 views.

5. Zuziwe Gcuku

Zuziwe’s YouTube channel has 11 149 subscribers and 405 779 views, and her content consists of make-up tutorials, vlogs, fashion tips, hair reviews and Q&As. Zuziwe’s covetable fashion sense and sassy personality draw viewers to the channel. Videos include a make-up tutorial in Xhosa and one in which her husband does her make-up.
