Cape Town - The tragic news of the death of former Idols SA season 12 runner-up, Thami Shobede shocked the entire country.

His future seemed very promising. His fans and production team had so much faith in him and all the things he was yet to conquer.

However, Thami certainly left a huge mark in our lives and in the music industry. Every time he stepped on stage, he stole our hearts with his electrifying performances.

We stopped to remember some of Thami’s most memorable performances to date.

1. Possibly the country's favourite performance yet.

How can we forget the time Thami came on stage, looking smart in a navy suit, with his cover of Stevie Wonder’s Signed, Sealed, Delivered

2. Not a lot of people can perfectly deliver a smooth performance of the famous song A Change is Gonna Come by the legendary Sam Cooke. But Thami made sure everyone believed in him after his brilliant rendition of the song.

3. Showing his incredible versatility, Thami’s single, Sthandwa from his album Evening of Love Volume 1 quickly became a fan favourite.

Who doesn’t love a good love song?

4. Once in a while, an artist will sing about a love interest of theirs and you just wish it was you it was being sung about.

With this song, Thami made every girl wish their name was Thenjiwe.

5. This list wouldn’t be complete without Thami’s first audition, when he won our hearts over with his smooth delivery of Adele’s Make You Feel My Love back in 2015.

His beautiful voice and contagious smile will never be forgotten.
