5 things you might not know about Riky Rick’s new record deal

Cape Town – Social media blew up when it was announced that Boss Zonke star Riky Rick was signed to Mabala Noise Entertainment on Monday.

The popular recording artist, who released his Family Values album on his own record label in 2015, posted overjoyed statements regarding the signing on his Twitter such as: “Im HAPPY... VERY HAPPY.” 

So who signed Riky to the label, who runs the label and what’s Riky’s next move?

Here’s everything you need to know: 

1. Who are Mabala Noise Entertainment?

They brought Chris Brown back to Mzansi, along with Tinashe, Eve and Slum Village: 

2. The stable is home to other local music recording artists: DJ Bongz, Ms Jones, Lvovo, DJ Chynaman and rapper Du Boiz.

3. DJ Bongz (who co-owns the label) signed Riky, which is quite a big deal (literally), because the gold selling artist has a big following among SA’s growing hip-hop buying audience.

Reggie - who Riky posted a picture of soon after it was announced that he was signed to Mabala Noise Entertainment - is also the acting ANCYL Treasurer General.
