Cape Town - More and more people are getting into getting into gaming and virtual fun, be it as a hobby or as a full-time career - even celebrities are jumping on the bandwagon!

Brazilian football superstar, Neymar, is an avid Counter-Strike player, and Samuel L. Jackson has fully embraced the hobby, hosting several video game awards ceremonies over the years.

We've also heard that Harry Kane, a football player for Tottenham Hotspur and his teammates often play Fortnite in their free time.

Back on home soil, there are several local celebrities and sports personalities who are known to enjoy a good gaming session.

Red Bull Gaming arranged for a PlayStation to be set up in the recording studio, so that he can play between recording sessions.

2. Jamie Webber 

Jamie Webber, soccer player for SuperSport United and Bafana Bafana, is a big fan of FIFA.

When he's not competing on the football pitch, you might spot him competing at FIFA eSports tournaments across the country.

3. Rikki Brest

Actress and musician, Rikki Brest, is not only an avid gamer but she streams too, especially F1.

4. Trevor Noah

The host of The Daily Show is known to enjoy a good gaming session and was also promoted the release of Battlefield V.

5. Ryan Kankowski 

According to his Twitter bio, this professional rugby player calls himself  a "wannabe gamer." He is a familiar face at gaming and eSports events across the country.

6. Maps Maponyane

When he isn't travelling the world and inspiring the youth, Maponyane is known to enjoy a game of FIFA among other titles on his console.
