6 local celebrity babies due in 2020

Cape Town - There's a baby boom happening in 2020! 

Tracy McGregor, Rolene Strauss, Karlien van Jaarsveld and three other celebrities are expecting new additions to their families in 2020. 

1. Rolene and D'Nielt Strauss

Former Miss South Africa and Miss World Rolene Strauss is expecting her second child with husband D'Niel. 

The expectant mother announced in August that she would welcome her second child, and broke the exciting news on her YouTube channel. 

She also streamed the gender reveal on her channel from the 2019 Pink Polo. 

The couple have a two-year-old son together, whose name has not been announced to the media. 

In her most recent Instagram Stories, the 27-year-old said that she was excited for the arrival of her little one, although she is a bit nervous like any mother would be. 

2. Melissa Wilkinson and Slikour 

Former Skwatta Kamp member Slikour and wife Melissa Wilkinson are expecting their first child together.

Melissa first shared the arrival of their latest family member on Instagram. 

Speaking to Channel24, Slikour confirmed the happy news, saying: "We very excited and looking forward to the homie touching down on earth."

3. Karlien van Jaarsveld and Joe Breytenbach

Local songstress Karlien van Jaarsveld and husband Joe Breytenbach are expecting their second child together.

Karlien has twin boys from a previous marriage to former rugby player, Derick Hougaard. This will be Joe's second child. 

According to Huisgenoot, Karlien and husband Joe were shocked, as the new addition to the family was unplanned.

She tells the magazine that she couldn't be happier about the news and that Elah (2), Daniel and Eliah (5) are looking forward to welcoming another sibling. 

In 2015, Karlien suffered a miscarriage at 19 weeks - she named her Evah.

4. Sphelele Makhunga and Itumeleng Khune

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune and his wife, Sphelele Makhunga are expecting their first child together.  

Ringing in the new year, Sphelele wrote on Instagram: "This has indeed been a confusing year for me. However, I'm grateful for its ups and downs. Found a hubby and we are now expecting which this was something I never expected."

"Yoh my baby is growing," she captioned a video on Instagram on Monday. She excitingly credited her husband as the photographer!

5. Tracy McGregor and Marc Buhrer 

Former South African model Tracy McGregor and partner Marc Buhrer announced that they are expecting their first child together in March 2020.

The couple revealed the news on Instagram with the help of photographer and filmmaker Marcos Cruz, making the announcement is the style of a movie posted, titled: Pregnant.

The photo showed the pair in bed, covered in junk food and weird food combinations, while Marc reads a parenting book and holds a pregnancy test in the air.

The billing block contained the names of their friends and family, including, Tracy's sisters Kerry and Cindi. 

Tracey's boyfriend of 14 years Marc Buhrer popped the questions shortly after that

6. Aletté and Heinz Winckler 

Aletté and Heinz Winckler announced in June that they are expecting their fourth child.  

The following month Aletté revealed that they are expecting a baby girl. 

Aletté told Huisgenoot that they decided to name their daughter Alannah Elize, but will call her Alana. She explained that the first two letters "Al" comes from her name, and the rest of the name is derived from her mother's name, Hannah. 

In a previous interview with Channel24, Heinz spoke about how much he enjoys fatherhood, saying: "I love watching these little people grow up in front of us. They have a little bit of my wife and me in them, but at the same time, they're unique. I also really enjoy learning more about the father heart of God by being a father myself."
