7 local celebs who made it big before 21

Johannesburg – These celebs have proven that it’s never too early to start hustling. While most teenagers were dreaming about what they would like to be “one day,” they were making theirs a reality.

So If you need some inspiration to get up off your couch and pursue your dreams, just check out this list of 7 local stars who made it big before 21.

1. Pabi Moloi

Can you believe Pabi Moloi was just 11-years-old when she joined M-Net’s kiddies show, KTV? Since then the presenter has gone on to host numerous television shows, including Strictly Come Dancing. She’s also made her mark as a radio presenter. Oh, and let’s not forget to point out that fabulous physique.

2. Bonang Matheba

It’s no wonder she’s called the queen, Bonang has been ruling this industry since the tender age of 15. Queen B* got her start as a presenter on a show called Manhattans Fantasy Challenge. Her big break came when she was appointed as a presenter on Live Amp (known as Live then). Even then she was only 20.

3. Locnville

The Chaplin twins shot to fame in 2010 when they released their debut album, Sun In My Pocket. They were only 20-years-old at the time! Six years down the line and they’ve still got girls going crazy.

4. Roxy Burger

Thank goodness for KTV, they introduced us to Roxy Burger as well. Roxy started off in the entertainment industry at 10-years-old moving on to KTV a little while after. Since then she has gone on to host Strictly Come Dancing as well as popular magazine show Top Billing

5. Nasty C

He is the youngest rapper in the game right now. At only 19, Nasty C is proving that he is a force to be reckoned with. Let’s be real, when Juice Back hit the airwaves, we knew we had a star on our hands. He might still have a long way to go, but is he ever gonna quit? Hell naw! - See what we did there?

6. Lalla Hirayama

Lalla has been capturing people with her asian persuasion since she was just 15. She started off as a presenter on e.tv's kids show Craz-e, and now she’s touring Hollywood and taking selfies with A-listers. Don’t believe us? Check it out here. And here. And here

7. Minnie Dlamini

She recently celebrated her 26th birthday, and also her 6th year on TV since she won the Live presenter search back in 2010. Minnie was only 20 back then. Look at her now, all grown and raking in cash like it’s going out of style.
