7 local 'it girls' to watch in 2017

Johannesburg – Remaining relevant in the entertainment industry can prove to be a difficult task, but for these it girls it seems they may already have 2017 in the bag (probably a designer bag at that).

Here are seven local ladies who are guaranteed to slay this year:

1. Pearl Thusi

Pearl Thusi took her it girl status across the ocean, killing it not only on the local scene, but internationally too.

With her Black Pearl hair products and her role on Quantico, we have a feeling 2017 is going to be a great year for this star. US magazine, Essence, seems to agree, calling the Pearl "one to watch."

2. Minnie Dlamini

Minnie has signed on to SuperSport which means we can still look forward to seeing her on our TV screens this year. The 26-year-old will host an all-new lifestyle and entertainment show on Manzi Magic, to be co-produced by SuperSport.

Also, someone's got a wedding to plan!

3. Boity Thulo

After signing with an international talent agency in 2016, we can’t wait to see what 2017 has in store for this it girl.

One thing’s for sure, she’s definitely our #BodyGoals for the new year.

4. Nomzamo Mbatha

Nomzamo knows how to light up a stage/screen/room, and we have no doubt that she will continue to blow us away.

Side Note: We’re loving the dreadlocks she’s been rocking lately!

Just wrapped the last photo shoot for the year ??

5. Bonang Matheba

Seriously, it would be a sin not to include Bonang on this list. She has way too many achievements for us to name, so instead we’ll just say, #BonangStaysQueening.

6. Khanyi Mbau

Actress, radio personality, and TV presenter. Yup, we’re pretty sure Khanyi’s got this.

7. DJ Zinhle

She's a yummy mummy with a new bae by her side, and a business that's doing extremely well. DJ Zinhle has all she needs to make this a memorable year.

We're ready for you Zinhle, dazzle us!
