The year might be coming to an end, but Mzansi’s celebs’ success stories aren’t.
According to SA Hip Hop Mag, AKA’s hit song The World is Yours has gone triple platinum and was certified by the Recording Industry of South Africa.
The music video for the track features Supa Mega’s real-life bae, Bonang Matheba, as the main girl.
However, the video left fans scratching their heads because the song is about how the rapper is on top of his game but his romance with Bonang plays out in the vid.
We’re sure AKA could do with some good news though. Reports claim the father of one is in trouble with Sars – apparently R2 million worth of trouble. AKA took to Twitter today to accuse his former manager, Raphael Benza, of trying to damage his reputation with the tax-woes claims.
However, Supa Mega hasn’t yet mentioned his platinum status and he couldn’t be reached for comment on it either.
