Just a few years ago rapper AKA and Nigerian artist Burna Boy were the duo that brought us hits such as All eyes on me and Baddest. Now, the two rappers are at odds with each other.
In the height of the xenophobic violence that swept through the country in September AKA and Burna Boy had a twar on Twitter after Burna Boy accused AKA of being xenophobic. This ended in the Nigerian artist threatening to “never set foot in South Africa again” and then threatening to hit AKA when he sees him.
Responding to the announcement that Burna Boy would be in South Africa, AKA took his Twitter page and wrote:
“I would love to attend this show and watch this man put his hands on me in my own country.”

According to TimesLive AKA admitted that he might bury the hatchet with Burna but first the Naija star would need to apologize to him.
“I wouldn't mind at all. He must just apologize so we can forgive him,” AKA wrote.
Burna Boy has yet to respond to AKA's comments but topped the SA Twitter trends list.
In a flood of tweets Burna Boy was labelled a hypocrite and told not to come to SA. Some threatened to boycott the show if he was kept on the line-up.
