Cape Town - Ariana Grande might just be the reason why everyone who’s ever watch teen comedy film Mean Girls will reconsider the Plastics as their favorite girl group.
Taking to her Instagram account the God Is A Woman hitmaker shared three images of herself alongside best friend Courtney Chipolone and Alexa Luria. But it was the image of Ariana giving Courtney a light peck on the lips with a Mean Girls quote that sent her Instagram fans into a frenzy.
In the first picture of the picture compilation, the 25-year-old singer can be seen kissing her best friend while their friend Alexa looks quite awkward beside them.
“Yeah but she’s my FIRST cousin,” Ariana captioned the image.

Referencing yet another Mean Girls iconic moment Ariana, who recently dedicated a break-up track to her exes, posted a second snap. In the second post she quotes a scene when Daniel DeSanto, who played Jason, asks Lindsay Lohan's character was Cady Heron, if she’d like someone to butter her muffin.

Ariana who has been struggling with coming to terms with the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller, ended off the series of Mean Girls-inspired images with a hilarious quote that most of the film’s fanatics will undoubtedly remember,
