It’s been a year of many things for a lot of people but in Celebville
one trend has remained constant: break-ups. From 10-year-long marriages ending
in divorce to nasty public splits that exposed “rocky” secrets, it’s definitely
been the year of break-ups.
DRUM looks at some of the biggest splits that had stars picking
up the pieces of their broken hearts and fans’ hopes for lasting love
Although they split in late 2017, their break-up continued to make headlines throughout this year. The break-up became even nastier after AKA indirectly accused Bonang of witchcraft and released a song where he throws shade at the media personality.
While Bonang seemed completely unbothered by the split, AKA had a difficult time moving on but eventually admitted to being in a happier space.
“I’ve never been happier than I am right now, and I owe some of this happiness to the break-up. I’m calmer now. I know my character, I know who I am, and I know what I have time and patience for,” he told DRUM earlier this year.
Although Cardi seems to have made up her mind, the Migos member isn’t ready to give up on their relationship yet. In a desperate attempt to get his wife back, Offset recently appeared on stage with a massive cake and flowers during Cardi’s performance at the Rolling Loud Festival and begged her to forgive him for cheating, but Cardi wasn’t having any of it.

In May, TMZ reported that Ariana Grande and Mac Miller had broken up after dating for two years. The publication alleged that the split was caused by their work schedules becoming too busy.
Less than a month later, Ariana got engaged to Pete Davidson only a few weeks after they began dating. The couple broke up not long after the tragic death of Mac in September, which reportedly put strain on their relationship.
Before his death Mac said he was happy for Ariana, in an interview on Zane Lowe’s radio show..
“It's strange. Like, the whole thing is a little strange but it's not negative," he said.
"It's just a part of something that's going to continue to help make me who I am. You know, it's all positive energy. I am happy for her and moving forward with her life just as I'm sure she is with me."
