The flurry of social media posts surrounding this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival caused serious cases of FOMO this past weekend. Rihanna rocked a few killer outfits and #Beychella will go down in history as one of the best live performances ever. Not to be outdone, Cardi B also made an appearance at the festival in spectacular fashion. The heavily-pregnant rapper had twitter in a frenzy when she didn’t allow her 7-month baby bump get in the way of being sexy.
According to BET, the 25-year-old took to the stage at the annual California-based festival for 35-minutes and went all-out for her debut appearance. Cardi performed songs from her album Invasion of Privacy and paid homage to TLC member Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopes by wearing an outfit that was reminiscent of the late singer’s style.
Reports by People prove the Bodak Yellow hitmaker won’t let having a baby get in the way of her thriving career. According to the publication, Cardi revealed in an interview on radio station Power 105.1 that she found it “disgusting” that people thought motherhood would stop one’s success.
“It just really bothers me and it disgusts me because I see a lot of women online like, ‘Oh, I feel sorry for you. Oh, your career is over,’” she said.
“As a woman, why can’t I have both? Why do I gotta choose a career or a baby? Like, why can’t I have both? I want both.”
