GoodLuck bandmate Ben Peters might be affected by the national lockdown, but that’s not stopping him from putting some music out there and connecting with his supporters.
He’s also been making some really tasty meals and thinks maybe he should venture into the fast-food market – why not. We caught up with the Cape Town-based artist to find out what he’s been getting up to.
Wakes up: 7am.
First thing you do after waking up: “I feed the cat. He is also the reason I’m awake at this hour. We’ve been fighting since 6am, when he woke up, as to whether or not I’m going to wake up.”
Breakfast, lunch, supper: “We're eating and cooking as creatively as possible. The other day I replicated a McDonald's meal and will probably now have to go into the fast-food business. It was that good. I will be posting my recipe soon.”
Between meals: “I prepare for our #LuckDown live-stream show – which happens every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9.30am – collating content, linking with guests for the show, troubleshooting technical glitches and putting together the titles for the show. We've also been working on our new single called What Next.
“Then a little work on some admin, make some music, do some chores around the house – it's been great getting stuck into a lot of DIY projects I've been putting off with all the touring. I like doing a late-afternoon workout. I've really enjoyed following @coach_cords (Daniella Corder) for these!
“And then to round it off having a sunset cocktail on my front lawn with some mellow tunes. Evenings are spent chatting with friends on Zoom or House Party, braaiing and then a little gaming after that.”
Watchlist: “I’m exploring a lot on Netflix!”
Bedtime: “12-ish. Depending on how my day goes.”
