For Rhythm City actress Itumeleng Bokaba, the lockdown period is filled with nappy changing, feeding and playing with her adorable little daughter, Rorisang – and she’s not complaining at all! We caught up with the 27-year-old to find out how her lockdown days have been treating her.

What time do you wake up?

I usually wake up between 8:30 to 9am-ish.

What do you do for breakfast, lunch and supper every day?

I usually have a type of cereal or eggs in the morning. Lunch and supper have been a bit more fun . . . I’ve made stuff I never made before including cottage pie, sushi and prawn tom yum soup. I always look forward to exploring!”

Are you eating more or still controlling your diet?

I tried to be healthy in the beginning. I was on a Keto Diet before lockdown so I was making healthier options like cloud bread burgers, but I didn't like how long it took to make cloud bread, so later I opted for bun less burgers instead.

I made a lot of desserts at home using xylitol instead of sugar, including almond flour pancakes and coconut milk ice cream. After that, everything went downhill especially during Easter weekend. Let’s just say, lots of chocolate was involved. Hahaha!

What else do you do with you day?

During the day feels like I’m back on maternity leave. It’s a lot of nappy changes, feedings and playing with Rori. I’ve been doing preschool exercises with my nephew as well. His school sends us tasks every day.

I’m grateful that I have all I need, because so many people don’t. And just the time I’m spending with my daughter and family. I won’t lie though, I miss dressing up and going out, hahaha!

What’s on your watchlist?

I watched Tiger king along with the rest of the world. I also watched all the Marvel MCU films in order of the story timeline. Now I’m re-watching some of my favourite Korean dramas and starting some new ones too.

Around what time do you go to bed?

I usually go to sleep as soon as Rori will let me, which is usually 9pm. Sometimes she'll stay up till 11pm or midnight.
