There seems to be a common thread in how we’re all experiencing the lockdown: we never know what the date or time is! Most of us stay up at all sorts of odd hours, either on our phones (because social media) or watching movie after movie, or a good series.

And local media personality Ntombee Ngcobo Mzolo is no different. While she acknowledges that this is a tough time for everyone, she’s  “glad to be spending it with my family”.

The mother of two tells us how she’s been keeping busy during the lockdown period.

What time do you wake up?

I still wake up [at 7am] even though I go to sleep very late due to endless movie nights with the family.

What’s the first thing you do after waking up?

The first thing I do is make my bed. Then I take a bath and pray with the family.

What do you do for breakfast, lunch and supper every day?

We have a full breakfast and a proper dinner at the table every single day. For lunch, anything goes. We deal with leftovers at this time.

Are you eating more or still controlling your diet?

I’m definitely eating more. Usually I miss breakfast and would only get some fast food for lunch and try to prepare proper dinner when I get home, which hardly happens because of the rush.

What do you do between meals?

Life revolves around my girls and obviously trying to do some work here and there. We dance, sing, exercise, play games, dress up, have prayer meeting with the family and I also help Nom-Nom (her nickname for her daughter) with her lessons.

What’s on your watchlist?

Aren’t we all watching Money Heist? I’m also watching Umphakathi, Gomora and Designated Survivor.

Around what time do you get to bed?

After midnight every single day. There was a day when I actually went to sleep at 7am because of Money Heist.
