Cape Town - The fallout from the sexual molestation accusations made against Michael Jackson continue after a Children’s Museum announced they would be removing some of his items from their display, Essence reports.
The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis in Indiana has announced the removal of a fedora, a glove, and a poster from their Michael Jackson memorabilia.
The decision comes after the airing of Leaving Neverland, a documentary which tells the stories of James Safechuck and Wade Robson, who claim they were sexually molested by the Thriller hit maker when they were boys.
"When we put together exhibitions, we look at the objects and their association with high-profile people," Chris Carron, the museum’s director of collections told Indy Star. "Obviously, we want to put stories in front of our visitors (showing) people of high character."
The removal of the items follows on the back of radio stations in New Zealand and Canada dropping Jackson’s music from their playlists.
The Simpsons have also removed an episode of their show that features the pop icon - who died in 2009. The episode, titled "Stark Raving Dad," will also be removed from syndication and future reissues of its DVD sets.
