Earlier this year singer Chris Brown was accused of raping a woman while in Paris, now the rapper is in hot water after he failed to attend a formal confrontation with the alleged victim.

The father-of-one was arrested and then released without any charges shortly afterwards while an investigation was pending into the woman’s accusations that Chris Brown along with seven of his friends and employees raped her at the  French captial's Mandarin Oriental Hotel in January 2019.

According to Associated Press, the victim’s lawyer is accusing the singer of being disrespectful after he failed to show up in court on Tuesday.

“His [Chris Brown] failure to appear today is very unfair to my client, but I assure him that my client will not be deterred from seeking justice,” she said.

The Independent reports Chris was not legally obligated to attend the proceedings because there is no extradition treaty between the United States and France meaning Brown’s presence was always in question.

Chris Brown has not yet responded to the lawyer’s comments but he has vehemently denied the rape allegations via an Instagram post.

"I wanna make it perfectly clear....... This is false and a whole lot of cap!" he wrote on his Instagram page. "For my daughter and my family, this is so disrespectful and is against my character and morals!!!!!" he added.
