Producer DJ Tira – real name Mthokozisi Khathi – recently took to social media to remind fans of his upcoming much anticipated event ‘Fact Durban Rocks’ which is held annually at the Moses Mabhida People’s Park in Durban.

The New Year’s Eve event has been happening for some years now and he constantly adds new, exciting artists every year for his fans.
In an interview with DRUM the muso said the public can expect a bigger and better show and that the lineup speaks for itself.
He added that he has featured all musicians who are doing well in the music industry such as Sjava, who recently hosted a one man show, Nasty C, DJ Maphorisa, Sho Madjozi and Samthing Soweto just to name a few.
“This year we want to do things better and go the extra mile so that someone who is watching the show at home can get a feel of how the show is.”
“The show have three stages and we’re are also going to feature a throwback performance by the much-anticipated group Big Nuz.”

The DJ said that people can also look out for performances from Black Coffee, and some new faces in the industry that the public needs to look out for.
“I can’t really mention them because we are currently holding a competition and the top three will get to perform live at the event and sell themselves to the audience.”
When asked about how he feels about Amapiano he said that he doesn’t have any problem with the genre.
“Amapiano is the biggest thing right now and it is doing so well, if I had a problem with it, I wouldn’t have featured the likes of DJ Maphorisa and Samthing Soweto to perform at the event.”
