DJ Zinhle has undoubtedly become one of the most celebrated female house DJs in South Africa, but her humble beginnings are what motivate her to reach out and help other young ladies who are looking to make it big in the South African music industry.

2019 marks the anniversary of 15-years in the industry and to celebrate this momentous occasion, the 35-year-old enters into a new era in her musical career as she presents female musicians with the chance to be a part of her soon to be formed live band.

Speaking to DRUM, Kairo’s mommy said,

“Starting a band has always been a dream of mine, and I think now is the perfect time, especially with celebrating a milestone of 15 years in the industry. I also think it is a great opportunity for upcoming female musicians to be exposed to the industry and hopefully the experience opens more doors for them.”

Intended to open up the industry in order to give real meaning to women empowerment and affirmation, DJ Zinhle invites female drummers and bass guitarists to audition to be a part of the band.

To apply, contestants must submit a 1-minute video to [email protected] via www.wetransfer.com  by 24 March 2019, playing their respective instrument to “Colours” by DJ Zinhle ft. Tamara Dey or “Uzobuya” by DJ Zinhle ft. Miss Melody & Presh Beat Master.
