Cape Town - Bryshere Gray, who plays the character of Jussie Smollett’s little brother on drama series Empire was arrested on regulatory charges and fined for driving without a license in an uninsured vehicle recently.

According to the Daily Mail, the 25-year-old was arrested in Chicago after he was pulled over for driving a 2014 Rolls Royce with a temporary license plate that did not match the vehicle.

Speaking to USA Today, Karie James, Chicago Police spokeswoman confirmed the news and explained that he did not remain under police custody.

“He was arrested on a misdemeanor registration charge and ticketed for driving an uninsured vehicle and failure to carry a driver’s license,” she said.

This is the second star from the Empire cast who has been arrested, following Jussie’s arrest of deceiving police officials under a premeditated “racist and homophobic attack”.

The 16 felony charges against Jussie have since been dismissed
