In the latest development in motswako rapper Fifi Cooper’s Ambitiouz Entertainment woes, the singer has confirmed she has met with the EFF and will accept legal assistance from them to help her with her legal battle against her former record label.
Ambitiouz Entertainment released a stated on Monday announcing they had obtained a court interdict against the rapper that stipulates that she’s not allowed to perform or claim ownership of any song recorded while under the record label.
Fifi was also ordered to pay damages and royalties to the record company, as well as their legal fees.
After hearing about the interdict the EFF offered to help fight the record company in court and Fifi has welcomed the assistance.
Fifi stated that she would not have been able to fight the legal battle on her own and that she has met with the EFF and accepts assistance from them.
“I did not have money to fight Ambitiouz Entertainment, who has been using a powerful law firm against me. I felt hopeless until the EFF president Julius Malema contacted me and offered the help of the EFF,” she said.
Fifi has met with the EFF's lawyers and they will file an urgent court application to rescind the judgment next week. Fifi added that she would also like to thank the public for the support they have shown since the news broke.
