Gone are the days where buying your friend food or gifts showed them how much you appreciate them. Nowadays getting a tattoo in their honour seems to be the in thing – according to rappers Future and Young Thug at least.

During an interview with Spotify about his contribution to Childish Gambino’s recent hit single, This is America, Young Thug (real name Jeffery Lamar Williams) spoke about his friendship with Future (Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn) and revealed that the two had each other’s names inked onto their bodies.

“Man, me and this n***a got each other's names tatted on us," he said.

Although the Anybody singer didn’t mention the location of his tattoo, he made it clear that he and Future were more than best buddies. “That’s how we feel. It’s forever” he explained.

But reports by Fader suggest the two rappers weren’t always friends and used to constantly exchange subtweets where they’d dis each other’s music. Young Thug finally decided to publicly apologise to Future, which has led to an epic bromance.
