The Fixer actress Kerry Washington says she keeps getting texts meant for rapper Kanye West.
During a recent broadcast of the Jimmy Kimmel Live show where the actress was invited to talk about her new Netflix film, American Son, Kerry revealed that while she and Kanye aren’t friends, she assumes a lot of the friends they have in common have saved both their numbers as “KW”, Complex reports.
“So, I’ll get a text once a year where I’m like, well that’s not for me,” she laughed.
She also said that should it happen again this year, it would probably be something related to God, ETCanada reports.
They may only be acquaintances, but Kerry scored a mention in Yeezy’s All Mine and Jimmy read her some of lyrics, E!News reports. “If I pull up with a Kerry Washington/ That’s gon’ be an enormous scandal.”
The actress told the publication that she didn’t get a heads up about the song. She just woke up one morning to her phone vibrating due to texts messages.
Kerry also said she hasn’t been to one of Kanye’s Sunday services, but should the opportunity arise she would love to go.
“Shout out to Kanye,” she said.
