It is said that having a near-death experience can be life-changing and for Kim Kardashian this change may have been for the better.
Back in 2016 , the mother-of-three was robbed at gunpoint inside her hotel room in Paris. According to The Sun , the robbers were dressed as police officers and forced their way into her hotel room. One of the men held Kim at gun point before tying her hands and locking her in the bathroom. The men allegedly went off with jewelry worth more than €9 million (R148 million).
Speaking on The Alec Baldwin Show about the experience , Kim reportedly revealed how she was “grateful” for the experience as it deeply changed her.
"There was a lot of me that measured who I was by how much I had. I thought, 'Oh, I'm worth so much,'" she told the show’s host.
"That needed to change in me."
Kim also said that the experienced had brought her back to herself and opened her up to a lot of things.
“I am grateful for the experience. Even though it was horrific and I wouldn't wish it upon anyone, it really did deeply change me to where now I feel like I can get back to myself. felt like I was living in a bubble, and that opened me up to so much."
According to Mirror , Kim has not always seen the robbery as a blessing in disguise. The publication reported that soon after the traumatic experience, Kim had been suffering from flashbacks and nightmares and was attending therapy sessions on a daily basis.
Two years later, the star seems to have put the incident behind her and changed for the better.
